Colorful Victory Day Badminton Tournament Held in Dubai by DXB Sports Club

In a festive and vibrant atmosphere, DXB Sports Club successfully organized the Victory Day Badminton Tournament 2025 in Dubai, aiming to unite the Bangladeshi expatriate community through sports while promoting fitness, discipline, and mental well-being. The tournament, held at New Vision Badminton Academy in Al Qusais, transformed into a lively gathering for badminton enthusiasts across the UAE.

Sports play a vital role in the lives of expatriates, helping them cope with work pressure, mental stress, and social challenges. At such a crucial time, the participation of around 60 teams made this year’s tournament especially significant. Organizers noted that events like this encourage healthy recreation, build friendships, improve fitness, and foster a positive and disciplined lifestyle within the community—helping youth and adults alike stay away from unhealthy or antisocial activities.

The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Russell. The ceremony was presided over by Md. Jahangir Hossain, President of DXB Sports Club and owner of Al Nazm Restaurant, while the program was conducted by the club’s General Secretary, Engineer Gias Uddin Javed.

The Chief Guest at the event was Mohammad Rasheduzzaman, Honorable Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate, Dubai and Northern Emirates. Special Guests included Md. Ashfaq Hossain, Consular Officer; Md. Arifur Rahman, First Secretary (Press); Abdullah Al Mamunur Rashid, Second Secretary (NID); and Md. Nausher Ali, Senior Manager at Emirates Airlines.

Notable attendees included Mir Mohiuddin, Chief Adviser of DXB Sports Club and President of Bangladesh Badminton Group UAE; Faridul Alam, owner of Freb Perfume; Md. Nazrul Islam Jewel, proprietor of Jewel Properties & Maintenance; Enamul Haque, owner of Barcode Restaurant; Sheikh M.R. Hossain of Al Burat Cargo Services; and Elias Siddiqui, proprietor of Chauddagram Restaurant.

The event was supported by sponsors including Faridul Alam (Freb Perfume), Md. Nazrul Islam Jewel (Jewel Properties & Maintenance), Enamul Haque (Barcode Restaurant), Sheikh M.R. Hossain (Al Burat Cargo Service), and Elias Siddiqui (Chauddagram Restaurant).

The overall success of the tournament was ensured through the dedicated contributions of Jamshedul Alam, Ziaur Rahman, Shams Bappi, Zahidul Islam, Suman Mia, Mushfiq, Russell, and Omar Farooq.
